WiDaF - Business German as a foreign language
What is the WiDaF test?
The German-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) developed the WiDaF test (for advanced learners). With this test, non-native speakers will be able to use German at their workplace. The tested levels are A1 to C1.
There are two different WiDaF tests: The “WiDaF test” for advanced learners and the “WiDaF Basic” for beginners.
Please ask the receiving body, if they accept the WiDaF test! It is an official test, but not every institution knows that.
WiDaF Basic for beginners
The Listening and Reading part consists 70 multiple-choice questions. The duration is one hour and the score maximum is 180. The levels are from A1 to B1.
WiDaF Basic Certificate
The certificate contains your participant details, your name, date of birth, date of testing as well as your score and the achieved GER-level.
In addition, you get a personalized and detailed overview about your strengths and weaknesses.
WiDaF test for advanced learners
The Listening and Reading part consists 150 multiple-choice questions. The duration of the test is approx. 2 ½ hours and the score maximum is 990. You can use the test for a level between A2 and C1.
WiDaF Certificate
This test also provides a personalized and detailed overview about your strengths and weaknesses.
Often, the WiDaF test is a proof that you have a certain minimum level.
